Alan D'Nacio

Alan is a seasoned business leader turned coach who helps executives and teams lead with purpose, scale with soul, and deliver with clarity. Drawing from a global career in finance, tech, and consumer brands, he brings a powerful blend of strategic insight, values-based leadership, and neuroscience-informed coaching to every conversation.

With over 25 years of global leadership experience spanning multinationals like adidas, Nestlé-Nespresso, Motorola, Diageo, and Glanbia, I bring to coaching a rare blend of commercial acumen, operational depth, and deeply human leadership. As ex-CEO of a tech company delivering bespoke CRM and loyalty solutions to some of the world’s leading consumer brands, I have firsthand experience navigating complex transformations, building high-performing teams, and driving sustainable growth in a world of constant change.

But beyond the boardroom, my work and my life is rooted in something more enduring: values. I believe leadership is about service, not status. That humility is not weakness, but strength. And that the most powerful leaders are those who stay hungry to grow and grounded in purpose.

I am a certified WABC business coach focused on enabling leaders to find clarity, courage, and character in their journey. My coaching is practical, ethical, and empathetic, anchored in the belief that self-awareness unlocks better business outcomes. I draw on rich cross-industry experience, real-life complexity, and a relentless commitment to fairness and simplicity.

As a father, husband, and son, I know the balance leaders are striving for. As a former CFO and now CEO, I know the pressure they carry. And as a coach, I help them lead with both results and soul.

I don’t coach from theory, I coach from the trenches. And I’m ready to help others lead from their core.

As Managing Director he headed up teams that scaled two UK technology service firms from zero to £30M a year in less than 5 years–at Rackspace in Uxbridge and Peer 1 Hosting in Southampton–with Peer 1 achieving $200M globally. Sandwiched between these roles is a sensational turnaround at IT Lab, taking them from 90 days to oblivion and a monthly loss of £65000 to profitable (later selling for £65M). In his life before IT, he sold drugs, gold, diamonds and learned much as a purveyor of beautiful knickers and chickens. Dominic now helps others as a business coach and works with his clients and their teams in the “Management Lab” he has built on his farm near Salisbury. Dominic hosts a weekly podcast, The Melting Pot, and shares nuggets of value on his subjectively not-crap newsletter. Including the weekly blog where he curates the best articles on all things Scaling Up. A regular public speaker, Dominic gives many talks on creating growth and building great places to work. His aim is to share with his growing audience of business leaders the things that work today and give as many unfair advantages as possible.
