Ignium provided coaching support for a global automotive company for executives in 5 territories across the UK and Middle East and India. The coaching programme was designed to support the development of the individuals to enable them to ‘step up’ as leaders in their roles in sales and service.
The process started with an initial development centre in which each person took part in a range of developmental activities including role plays, case studies and interviews.
📓 From this a bespoke programme was created for each person that covered a blend of training and coaching covering 18 months interspersed with group workshops and video conferences.

Phil has opened my mind to the world of self-development, strategy and continued improvements. I look forward to another year of working together and seeing where this journey will take me.” Porsche Manager
We worked as part of a team to help develop an up and coming IT sales, support and consultancy business to enable the team to ‘step up’ so the owners could further step up into more strategic visionary roles.
Over a two-year period, we worked as both coach and consultant to help the team members understand their roles, develop strategies for the business future and take ‘responsibility’ for their actions. The result? The business grew both its headcount, revenue and profitability. The owners invested in two new businesses and worked with those new teams to begin that growth journey in parallel to their existing business.
The key to enabling the team members to step up was twofold:
👉 firstly, we helped the owners of the business step back from the day to day. this involved helping them better coach their team members rather than simply dive in to the detail each time they were asked a question;
👉 secondly, we worked with the team members themselves as one to one and group coaches to enable them to recognise that they were truly empowered to make decisions and take action.
The key was helping them realise the authority and accountability of their roles and also the responsibility they shared for the growth and success of the business.
In today’s fast-moving world, the role of the CEO is more demanding than ever. At Ignium, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with ambitious leaders who are navigating complexity and driving transformation to scale their businesses with purpose and impact.
One CEO we recently partnered with—leading a high-growth technology business—was at a pivotal point. Rapid expansion had outpaced structure. Decision-making had slowed. The leadership team felt stretched. Growth was happening, but alignment was missing.
Using the Scaling Up methodology and a range of business and leadership development tools, we worked together to:
🔹 Clarify and re-energise their vision and values,
🔹 Re-establish strategic priorities that could be tracked and owned,
🔹 Build the leadership capability needed for the next phase of scale,
🔹 And most importantly—create a culture of trust and accountability.
The results? A stronger, more aligned senior team. Greater clarity and execution on priorities. And a confident CEO, ready to lead growth from a place of purpose—not pressure.
At Ignium, we believe transformation is possible when leaders are truly seen, heard, and supported to grow—with clarity and confidence. That’s where we do our best work.
At Ignium, we work with CEOs and senior leadership teams who understand that culture isn’t a side conversation—it’s the engine behind performance, engagement, and sustainable growth.
We recently partnered with the executive team of an engineering-led technology business. They were growing fast, expanding internationally, and attracting great talent. But beneath the surface, something was missing: alignment on how they wanted to lead—together.
✔️ Their values were written.
❌ But their behaviours weren’t lived consistently.
❌ And trust across the senior team had quietly eroded.
Through a series of deep, honest working sessions, we helped them:
🔍 Hold up the mirror—facing what was getting in their way as leaders
🎯 Use tools like the Culture Canvas and Lencioni’s Five Dysfunctions model to get clear on what healthy team culture actually looks like
🧭 Co-create a set of leadership behaviours aligned with their values
🤝 Commit to holding each other to account, long after our sessions ended
The result? A more connected, courageous leadership team. A culture that’s not just spoken about—but lived.
At Ignium, we challenge and support leaders to walk the walk, not just talk the talk. Because when leaders shift, culture shifts—and so does the business.
Let’s build something stronger—together.
At Ignium, we partner with CEOs and their leadership teams to create clarity, focus, and alignment—especially at moments when growth demands a new level of leadership.
Recently, we worked with the C-suite of a fast-growing technology scale-up that had outgrown its original strategy. Despite impressive revenue growth, the senior team lacked clear strategic priorities. Meetings were filled with noise, accountability was murky, and progress was uneven.
Together, we:
🔹 Facilitated a strategy review and reset, using the Scaling Up methodology,
🔹 Defined clear strategic priorities across the business,
🔹 Realigned individual objectives with organisational goals,
🔹 Clarified accountabilities to eliminate duplication and confusion,
🔹 And embedded a rhythm of accountability coaching to maintain momentum post-workshop.
The transformation was tangible: a unified leadership team, sharper focus, and a renewed sense of confidence about the path forward.
Our approach at Ignium is human and pragmatic. We meet leaders where they are, challenge them with care, and support them to grow with clarity, courage, and commitment.
Because when leadership teams align, businesses scale—and people thrive.
When leaders step into broader, more senior roles, the shift can feel seismic.
At Ignium, we work hand-in-hand with leaders navigating these transitions—helping them step up strategically, fast-track credibility, and lead with gravitas… without losing who they are.
One example? A Group CEO moving into a Cluster Group Lead role within a global advanced engineering and technology business. The brief was clear:
🌍 Greater scope.
⚙️ Higher complexity.
👥 A diverse peer group and Board-level visibility.
Together, we worked to:
🔹 Clarify the strategic impact expected in the new role
🔹 Evolve key leadership behaviours that inspire confidence at the next level
🔹 Build gravitas and presence in high-stakes settings
🔹 Strengthen internal influence without defaulting to over-control
🔹 And most importantly—do it all in a way that stayed true to their values and voice
Through a suite of development tools and focused leadership coaching, we helped this leader move quickly from uncertainty to clarity, from “proving” to partnering, from internal doubt to external impact.
Transitions like these can be lonely. But they don’t have to be.
That’s where we come in—as thought partners, trusted coaches, and real people who walk the journey with you.
If you or a leader in your organisation is stepping into a bigger seat—we’re here to support them to rise, grounded.
n a fast-moving, unpredictable world, standing still isn’t an option.
At Ignium, we work with leaders who know that in times of uncertainty, clarity, adaptability, and alignment aren’t just nice-to-haves—they’re essential.
Many of our clients come to us at a pivotal moment—when the economic landscape has shifted, external forces are outside their control, and it’s time to rethink the path forward. What remains in their control? Their mindset, their leadership, and how they choose to move forward—deliberately and with shared intent.
We help leadership teams reset their strategy, align their capability, and shape a clear, values-led direction of travel. Through tailored sessions and practical tools, we give leaders the structure to focus, the space to think, and the accountability to follow through—even as conditions evolve.
One recent example?
A scale-up technology business reached out when market changes disrupted their core offering. Together, we helped them step back and reimagine their strategic direction—spotting fresh growth opportunities in an adjacent sector. We used a simple, visual planning framework to track decisions and priorities while strengthening the leadership team’s ability to collaborate, adapt, and lead with clarity.
The result? A focused new direction, aligned leadership, and momentum that’s sustained well beyond our engagement.
Because real strategy isn’t about predicting the future—it’s about building the muscle to adapt to it.
If your business is entering a new chapter, we’re here to help you write it—on purpose.
At Ignium, we help senior leaders in fast-paced environments shift from solving problems to growing people. Because in high-growth businesses, sustainable success comes from scaling leadership—not just operations.
We recently partnered with a high-growth technology company whose senior leaders were stretched. They were experienced, driven, and solution-oriented—but increasingly caught in the weeds. Teams leaned heavily on them for answers, leaving little space for strategic thinking or talent development.
The Challenge:
These leaders were trusted experts—but the business was growing beyond what expertise alone could carry. To build capacity and deepen engagement, they needed to stop solving for their teams and start enabling them to solve with and through.
In short: they needed to lead through coaching.
Yet for many, coaching felt unfamiliar or abstract. There were doubts: “Isn’t it quicker just to give the answer?” “What if I lose control?” “What does coaching even look like in a tech context?”
Our Approach:
We delivered a practical, high-trust programme focused on embedding coaching as an everyday leadership behaviour.
Key components includes:
🧭 Exploring the mindset shift from expert to enabler
🎧 Introducing core coaching tools: listening, questioning, curiosity
🗣️ Practising real coaching conversations—live, peer-led, and relevant
🔄 Building confidence to coach upwards, sideways, and down
🔗 Linking coaching to performance, retention, and leadership brand
We made it tangible, not theoretical—grounding tools in day-to-day leadership moments, not separate from them.
The Impact:
Leaders reported:
💬 Greater confidence in holding space, not just giving solutions
💪 More empowered, accountable teams
🤝 Stronger relationships across the business
🧩 Increased time for strategic work—because others stepped up
Perhaps most importantly, leaders felt proud of the ripple effect: the sense that they were growing other leaders, not just managing tasks.
The Takeaway:
Coaching isn’t a side skill—it’s a core capability for modern leadership. Especially in fast-growth tech environments, where complexity is high and people matter most.
When leaders coach, organisations grow—from the inside out.
Let’s talk about how we can help you and your business start putting your purpose into practice.
